Immune Supporting Cinnamon Agave Almonds
05/06/2021

A sweet treat that also may help your immune system? Count us in.

Not only does cinnamon taste good, but research in animals suggests that the cinnamon has polyphenols — plant compounds — that fight inflammation and affect immune response. Almonds are also rich in ‘good’ fats. Eating nuts in general may help decrease inflammation in the body as well.

Ingredients:

4 cups unsalted almonds

4 tablespoons Agave syrup

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon Salt

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in bowl until the almonds are coated in the spice mixture and lay out flat on a baking sheet. Roast in an oven for 10 minutes and enjoy your subtly sweet snack.
