Green vegetables, especially leafy greens such as kale contain high amounts of lutein and zeaxanthin. These compounds are extremely beneficial to help your eyes stay healthy in the battle to prevent cataracts. Leafy greens also contain a lot of vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, zinc and fiber.
